We have found Europeans to be dog crazy. Dogs are everywhere. They are on the subway, in the grocery stores, on top of mountains. Most beggars have them. Frequently people have two or three on a leash. What topped it all for us is when we went to our favourite falafel shop and found a chihuahua in the kitchen sitting in a backpack next to the grill where our food was being prepared. Now that's French cuisine!
