Chinglish Is A Riot!

Traveling around China is always fascinating with many incredible sights to see. On some days we found ourselves looking just as much for examples of 'Chinglish' as historical landmarks or scenery. It never ceases to amaze us (and lots of other foreigners as well) that the Chinese insist on using the very awkward dictionary translations instead of asking any English tourist to help them translate the phrase they need for a sign or poster into proper English. Often the phrase makes no sense and leaves the reader scratching his head. Other times it is only a simple spelling mistake but it has been put on a gazillion signs for everybody to see. We were surprised that even at very popular tourist attractions, nobody had done a spellcheck or run it by an English speaking person. We couldn't take pictures of them all but here are some of our favourites.
