It is next to impossible to be bored in China. All you have to do is go down to the nearest intersection and watch the traffic go by. We especially were amazed at how many people could fit on a scooter or how daring bicyclists and pedestrians could be when crossing the street through the maze of vehicles. People will carry just about anything on their scooters including their pets. groceries, and babies. Traffic is crazy but it somehow seems to work in China, and it isn't because everybody is following the rules (or should we say guidelines). Watching seniors weave their way through fastmoving, crisscrossing traffic had us saying 'We're not in Winkler anymore'. There is plenty of life on the sidewalks as well with people visiting and selling everything from fruit to skinned frogs. Going for a walk back home just doesn't compare.
