We saw a lot of interesting things in Germany that were just a little bit different. Some we thought were funny and some we thought were just strange. Smokers behind glass, what a concept. Germans love to doodle on signs. We got a chuckle out of the 'Old Museum' sign and wondered where the new stuff was kept. Barges often have complete homes on them including astroturf. Segway tours are everywhere. No neighbourhood is complete without a cigarette vending machine on the corner. Somebody had to add to the garden sign to clear up any misconceptions. We loved the 'Rent a Dirndle' sign. If you thought your guitar was big, this guy has you beat. Germans like to say exactly what they mean on their signs and they aren't afraid to use lots of words (even their no smoking signs). When knights take a break from jousting, they read their Kindle. And lastly a very interesting idea - women get to park on the first underground level in car parks for safety reasons.
